Rare Gilbert Rheme necklace made out of Sterling Silver. This piece has a design between organic and geometric elements. Circa 1970's. Rheme's work very rarely comes onto the the market, being prized and collected by many. His work is uniquely different but comparable to the other great Canadian Brutalist artists such as Larin, Vidal, Alfandary and Chaurdron.
Gilbert Rheme Swiss born artist, living and working primarily out of Quebec. His career spanned several decades, selling across North America. Rheme started creating jewelry after he couldn't find an appropriate ring to propose with, his Fiance said yes and a jewelry career was born. Rheme's work is often sculptural, geometric and one of a kind.
