Unique small necklace by Bernard Chaudron. This piece is simple in shape but has a bold black, white and blue enamel design. Reminds me of the geometric work by Miro. This piece is made out of Glass Enamel versus his Resin Enamel. The glass enamel pieces are much more rare as they were considerably harder to create.
Chaudron's jewelry is very rare, only creating his enamel jewelry in his early career. The enamel work is breathtaking, it almost "glows" in certain light. This piece and most of Chaudron's necklaces could be easily worn on either side. His work is uniquely different but comparable to the other great Canadian Brutalist artists such as Larin, Vidal and Alfandary.
The Pendant is 5/8"tall x 7/8" wide. The chain is about 17.5" in total length. Hand signed "Chaudron" Necklace is in good vintage condition with appropriate wear and patina for it's age.
