Bernard Chaudron Necklace made out of Bronze. This piece has a great juxtaposition between the carved detail and the smooth surface. Very mid century and unique. It looks to have been inspired by Modigliani.
Chaudron's jewelry is very rare, only creating his jewelry in his early career. Most of his designs are abstract/geometric but occasionally he would create figural pieces. His jewelry career lasted from the late 1960's to the end of the 1970's.
His work is uniquely different but comparable to the other great Canadian Brutalist artists such as Larin, Vidal and Alfandary.
The Pendant is 2.25" long x 1" wide.. Neckring is about 5.25" in diameter, 16.5" inner circumference. Signed "B. Chaudron" Necklace is in good vintage condition with appropriate heavy wear and patina for it's age.
