Bernard Chaudron brooch made out of bronze with green glass enamel. This piece has a highly carved, splatter design.
Chaudron's jewelry is very rare, only creating his jewelry in his early career. Most of his designs are abstract/geometric but occasionally he would create figural pieces. His jewelry career lasted from the late 1960's to the end of the 1970's. He typically worked in resin and rarer glass enamel.
His work is uniquely different but comparable to the other great Canadian Brutalists such as Larin, Vidal and Alfandary.
The Brooch measures approx. 2.5" x 0.75" Signed "BC" It is in good vintage condition with appropriate wear and patina for it's age.
