Jean Claude Darveau earring lot of 2 pairs. The larger pair is made out of two panels, one is inset with a leather like material and the other panel has an almost wood texture to it. The smaller pair have a great geometric design to them. Both pairs are silver plated over pewter.
Darveau is one of the great Modernist Canadian designers from the 1970-80's, comparable to Larin, Vidal, Rafael, and Chaudron. Darveau's work tended to have more refined and contrasting lines, very Post Modern. Darveau also created each piece by hand, through a 6-step process to ensure his high standards of quality.
Larger pair measures approx. 1 5/8" tall x 7/8" wide Hallmarked "Darveau" Smaller pair measures approx. 0.75" tall x 5/8" wide Hallmarked with Darveau's logo Good vintage condition, original patina and wear for age. Minor silver plate loss which is normal for his pieces.
