Early Thomas Mann woman brooch made out of possibly Sterling Silver. This is a unisex piece, this comes from my personal collection. This is an early piece, lovely and bold design.
Stellar piece of American Craft Modernist jewelry. Unique and rare.
Thomas Mann is a pioneer in the American Art Jewelry movement of the late 20th century. Based in New Orleans, has been creating jewelry since the late 1960's. His work is often very Surreal and full of Symbolism. Mann describes himself as "an artist working in the medium of jewelry and sculpture." A true piece of wearable art.
Measures approx. 1.75" tall x 1 3/8" wide Hallmarked with his early sunrise TM logo. Also hand signed by Thomas Mann and the word Handwrought. Good vintage condition with appropriate surface wear and heavy patina for age. This has not been tested for Sterling.
